About The Rohatyn Group

The Rohatyn Group was founded by Nicolas Rohatyn in 2002.

After building JP Morgan's emerging markets business, Mr. Rohatyn and the firm's other founding partners saw an opportunity to leverage their unique combination of knowledge, skills, and network to provide specialized expertise in emerging markets. The firm has since grown to become a diversified asset manager specializing in emerging markets and real assets.

TRG is an international and diverse team with local presence in 17 countries globally. The firm’s staff originates from over 20 countries and speaks more than 25 different languages.

The firm’s investment teams are supported by a business management platform designed to meet the needs of sophisticated global investors. Our teams have specialized expertise in risk management, legal and compliance, operations and custody, marketing, investor relations, and information technology.

TRG is a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment and a member of the ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI).

TRG hires a beyond-BRIC public equity specialist and adds capabilities in forestry and agriculture with the acquisition of GMO Renewable Resources. As part of the GMO Renewable Resources transaction, the firm expands its presence to include offices in Boston and Rotorua (New Zealand).
